Palin to Head 3rd Party?

It just gets better and better. With the Tea Party folks committing gaffe after gaffe and doing their best to grind the GOP into the dust of history, comes Her Highness, herself. And once again, La Palin is breathtaking.

Tegan Goddard's Political Wire caught this bit from an interview Palin did with (who else?) Fox.

"Some in the GOP -- it's their last shot. It's their last chance. We will lose faith, and we will be disappointed and disenchanted from them if they start straying from the bedrock principles... if they start straying, then why not a 3rd party?"

Oh my.

She believes that the tea-party could spawn a viable 3rd party, in spite of the fact that it is precisely the Tea Party which has wrecked the GOP's chances of taking control of the Senate. From Angle to Miller to O'Donnell to Buck, they are humiliating the Republican brand with each and every sound bite.

Surely, to some degree at least, their cumulative political buffoonery must prey on the minds of the great undecideds who have yet to cast a ballot within and without those individual races. To the extent that that is true, it means dragging down the GOP across the board, from Senate to House to Statehouse.

And yet, to reality-impaired Sarah, this is a condemnation of the impurity of the Republican party and a testimony to the vitality of the Tea Party as a political organ. She and her losers are giving the GOP one last chance.

See what I mean? She's breathtaking.

On the other hand, I can only hope she takes the plunge. It's easy to see why a third-party presidential bid would be so appealing to her -- she could skip the primary.  She wouldn't have to put up with all those hard questions. I mean, it's hard work, answering questions all the time.

Run, Sarah, run.
